Google Shuts Down Websites: What Now?

Google’s official statement reads: “As of March 5, 2024, websites made with Google Business Profiles are no longer available and customers that visit your site will be redirected to your Business Profile instead… Your customers will only be redirected to your Business Profile until June 10th, 2024. After that, customers will get a “Page not found” error when they try to visit your website.”

Are You Affected?

To be clear, not all Google websites have been shut down. Only those sites created through the Google Business Profile are affected. These sites all have domains ending in business.site or nagocio.site.
If your website ended in one of these domains, you no longer have a website. It has been redirected to your Business Profile.

Your Business Profile has not been shut down and there are no plans to do so.

After June 10th, 2024, your domain will no longer work at all. Any visitor trying to go you your website will instead get an error message.
